About Carla Jean....

Background and Heritage
Carla Wallis, CET, PMP, PMF, LE, LED, currently residing in Oliver, British Columbia, was born and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (NT), Canada. She is of Dene descent from the Sahtu Region of NT and is the daughter of a Residential School survivor. Growing up amidst the challenges of environments impacted by alcoholism and abuse, Carla transformed her experiences into a lifelong commitment to healing and supporting others.

Cultural and Spiritual Lineage
Carla’s heritage spans cultures, with roots in both Romania and Sweden. She is the 11th great-granddaughter of Kerstin Halvarsdotter, a Pagan/Gypsy Seer known for her visionary gifts during the 1600s in Sweden. This lineage of gifted seers deeply influences Carla’s path as a "Seer" herself. As the Founder, Producer, and Director of Ash Productions, and the face behind Aurora Spirit Hunter, Carla combines personal encounters with a calling to provide solace to those facing paranormal experiences.

New Beginnings Day Spa and Healing Center
As the proprietor of New Beginnings Day Spa / Healing and Training Center, Carla is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Energy Therapist, and Alternative Spiritual Healer. Her specialties include Chakras, Sound and Aura Cleansing, Emotional Release, and Raindrop therapies, as well as Advanced Clinical Esthetics, Facial Regeneration, and Paramedical Areola 3D Restoration. Her extensive training also includes a certification as a Level 3 Facilitator and Trainer, with an Executive Business certification from Athabasca School of Business and Aurora College.

Healing Journey and Author
Carla's journey into healing was catalyzed by the loss of her cousin at age 15, leading her to question spirituality. However, the birth of her son at 19 marked a turning point, inspiring a healing journey that ultimately led her to author her first book, Where Do I Start?, a guide for others beginning their own path to self-healing.

Aurora Spirit Consulting and Community Impact
As the Founder of Aurora Spirit Consulting, Carla is a Cultural Center Development Specialist and Indigenous Cultural Consultant. A Deline Got'ine Government beneficiary and Dene of the Sahtu, she brings over 30 years of experience in cultural development, arts program management, and community engagement, supporting communities in preserving cultural traditions and fostering sustainable economic growth.

Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership
Beyond her spa and healing center, for nearly 20 years, Carla co-owned and managed Great Slave Adventures Fishing Tours on Great Slave Lake. Although the business closed due to the impacts of COVID-19, it provided Carla with valuable experience in operations, finance, and customer relations. Her diverse background equips her with the skills necessary for managing complex, community-focused projects.

Author and Guide on Self-Healing
Carla is also an accomplished author whose works guide readers on journeys of self-healing and personal transformation. Drawing from her own experiences and cultural insights, her books offer practical tools and compassionate advice for those seeking emotional and spiritual growth. Carla’s publications, available on her website, provide an accessible path for individuals beginning their healing journeys, embodying her commitment to empowering others.

Education and Certifications

Additional credentials include an Executive Leadership Development (ELD) Certificate from the Alberta School of Business and a Leadership Certificate from Aurora College, highlighting her strengths in leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management.

Carla’s work is deeply influenced by her family background and experiences as the daughter of a Residential School survivor. She advocates for the creation of cultural and healing spaces, where traditional skills, Dene stories, and intergenerational knowledge can thrive.
